An online curriculum reference guide to designing pathways for the Diploma in Engineering

To develop a reference document that will include a set of guidelines, local good practice, structures and protocols. The guide will carefully map progression routes across the engineering pathways through to employment and/or university.
1. The value in this proposal is the opportunity to develop a locally relevant, very specific guide to engineering progression routes.
2. As well as the focus on showing distinct progression routes in the various disciplines, it should also show where learners can cross between disciplines and across progression routes - eg full-time learning into apprenticeship and vice versa.
3. The proposal could also include a structure for a CPD session and resource to use with Diploma practitioners and the wider workforce involved in supporting learners with their decisions, so that there is a better understanding of the various engineering disciplines and progression routes.
4. It should also include an innovative approach to attracting young women to engineering.
5. The potential to develop the additional and specialist learning offer to make distinctive pathways through the different engineering disciplines is very attractive.
